JUAN SEBASTIAN VERON has come out of retirement to sign for amateur Argentinian team Estrella de Berisso - at 41 years old.
The ex-Manchester United flop hung up his boots in 2014 after six seasons in the top flight with Estudiantes - and one with novice side Brandsen.
But the 73-cap Argentine has laced them back up to join Buenos Aires-based club Estrella de Berisso.
Estrella tweeted: "Witch [referencing his 'Little Witch' nickname] loose in Berisso! JSV plays for Estrella this season!"
Veron's dad, Juan Ramon, explained his son was looking to play at a competitive level again.

He said: "He was playing with a group of friends my age in Spanish Prado estate of Villa Elisa, but wanted to find a competitive level, and the league is good."
United smashed the British transfer record to sign the midfielder for £28.1million from Lazio in 2001.
But Veron never lived up to his price tag at Old Trafford and was sold to Chelsea for £15m after just two seasons.
But he fared even worse at the Blues - spending just one season at Stamford Bridge and being cast out on loan for the remainder of his contract - before he returned to his native Argentina in 2007.
