Arsenal legend Thierry Henry defends Gunners fans who booed Arsene Wenger after Liverpool defeat
Gunners icon syspathises with supporters who heckled boss after Liverpool loss as frustrations boiled over at Emirates
ARSENAL legend Thierry Henry has backed the Gunners fans who laid the boot into manager Arsene Wenger following the loss to Liverpool.
Wenger saw his side suffer a 4-3 defeat to the hands of Jurgen Klopp's men and boos rang round the Emirates at the final whistle.
But it could have been worse for Arsenal and Wenger as his side dramatically collapsed conceding four goals in just 17 minutes before clawing their way back into the game.
Gunners fans have been increasingly infuriated at the lack of summer signings and their frustrations boiled over at the full time whistle as they directed a chorus of boos at the manager.
And Henry, who is a pundit for Sky TV, believes they had every right. He said: "The fans didn't have a go at 4-1, they supported the team.
"But at the end they are frustrated with another bad start to the season.
"You have a lot of things to take into consideration but the bottom line is they have lost again at home."
Arsenal started the game with no new signings and their inexperienced central defence consisting of Rob Holding and Calum Chambers were run ragged at times.
With the Gunners enduring yet another injury crisis, Henry demands the truth surrounding Arsenal's transfer dealings.

The Gunners legend added: "All summer we've been told we have money, we will spend. The season starts and we can't compete with other clubs. What is the truth?"
"It looks like players don’t wan’t to come to play for Arsenal football club. It seems like it is difficult to attract players.
Fellow Sky pundit Graeme Souness weighed in on the situation saying Arsenal is being run like a business and not a football team. He said: "Arsenal Football Club right now are a business.
"For me, they are not so much about football as running their business."
Relationships between Henry and Wenger hit rock bottom since Arsenal's record goalscorer was forced out of his role as youth team coach due to his involvement in being in pundit.
Wenger was upset that Henry was criticising his own players and gave him an ultimatum whether to remain as youth coach or continue working for Sky.
