Tottenham transfer news: Nabil Bentaleb could join Lazio on loan, as the Italian club enquires after Poche’s ‘can go’ verdict
Reports claim Lazio have made an enquiry to sign Tottenham's midfielder Nabil Bentaleb on loan, as the Algerian is out of play
TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS' Nabil Bentaleb is set to join Italian club Lazio, as they enquire for the left-out-of-squad midfielder.
Bentaleb, 21, was left out of Spurs' 24-man squad for their pre-season trip to Melbourne.
And Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed in July that he is not in his plans for the new season - nor is Federico Fazio and Alex Pritchard.
"The situation is very clear. They are not in my plans and they know," Pochettino said.
"I have communicated with them and it was made very clear. It's not a problem.
"They know the situation and we'll see what happens."
Bentaleb is contracted to Spurs until June 2020 but made just five Premier League appearances last season.
Midfielder Pritchard has since signed a four-year contract with relegated Norwich and defender Federico Fazio is on a season-long loan with Roma.
