Crystal Palace transfer news: Liverpool reject fresh £30million bid for Christian Benteke
LIVERPOOL have rejected a new £30million bid from Crystal Palace for the transfer of striker Christian Benteke.
Benteke, 25, has already made it known he is keen to move out of Anfield to join Alan Pardew at Selhurst Park.
An initial offer of £25 million was rejected earlier this summer but Palace revived negotiations after the transfer of Yannick Bolasie this week.
The new offer matches Liverpool's valuation but Jurgen Klopp is well aware of the impact of selling Benteke.
Palace boss Pardew knows he is the man to get him firing and the club is ready to spend the Bolasie money.

Benteke signed for £32.5m from Aston Villa a year ago, as he was targeted by Brendan Rodgers, but he never suited Klopp's tactics since.
If a deal is accepted before the window shuts at 11pm on August 31, Benteke could revive his career by finding ground with a club more suited for him.
Benteke had a difficult time last season with injury, but managed to please Klopp by getting back to fitness before the end of last term.
But Klopp admitted that the Anfield club are likely to sell the Belgian.
The German said: "Everyone knows about it. Christian has already said maybe it makes sense to go to another club. Christian is still a really great striker.
"We have a few more strikers and I think it makes more sense to give them match time.
"But if there are clubs that want a real striker than they have to make real offers otherwise we will find solutions.
"A few clubs try to gamble but we are not part of this, we are serious."
