JESSE LINGARD says Jadon Sancho WILL succeed at Manchester United – he just needs to be given time.
Sancho has struggled to produce the dazzling form he displayed playing for Borussia Dortmund since arriving at Old Trafford last summer.
But United team-mate Lingard has no doubts the £73million winger will show everyone just how good he is once he has adjusted to the Premier League game.
Lingard said: “I think it’s going to take some time to adapt.
“Jadon’s been around long enough, he knows football inside out and the Premier League can be tough.
“He’s adapting. We’ve seen glimpses. He’s only going to get better.
“We have full confidence and hope in Jadon to succeed.”
Sancho and Lingard are both currently away on international duty with England, as they prepare for their World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary.

For Lingard, it is another chance to firm his place back in Gareth Southgate’s plans having just failed to make the cut for the final squad for Euro 2020.
The 28-year-old admits missing out last summer was hard to take after his late season form on loan at West Ham saw him storm back into contention.
He added: “It’s always hard, but considering where I was for a period of time, not playing as much and not in the England squad, to get into the 33 man squad shows what you can do with hard work and belief.
“I was disappointed to miss out but I was still there supporting the boys through thick and thin.
“They had a great chance after getting into the final but we have to move on quickly and prepare for the new season.”
