Barcelona agree deal to sign Jasper Cillessen which allows Claudio Bravo to join Manchester City and Joe Hart to finally leave the Etihad
Luis Enrique will bring new £12million stopper from Ajax which will spring goalkeeping transfer merry-go-round
BARCELONA have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to reports in Spain.
The Spanish champions need to bring in a new goalkeeper if Claudio Bravo is going to be allowed to join Manchester City.
And report Ajax have reached an agreement to let Cillessen move to the Nou Camp in a deal worth around £12million.
City boss Pep Guardiola wants Bravo to replace Joe Hart, who he believes does not fit into his style of play.
Barca are happy to let the Chilean leave but not before tonight’s La Liga opener against Real Betis and only after they sign a replacement.
Valencia’s Diego Alves was mooted as a potential target, but Luis Enrique appears to have plumped for Cillessen.
The Dutchman starred for his country at the 2014 World Cup, and was famously replaced by Tim Krul ahead of a quarter-final penalty shoot-out against Costa Rica.
Cillessen has won three Eredivisie titles and one Dutch Super Cup during his time at Ajax.
Hart looks set to finally end his ten-year stay at City.
Like Enrique with Bravo, Guardiola would only allow the England No.1 to leave when a replacement came in.
Everton are favourites to sign Hart, while Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund are potential options outside the Premier League.
