And Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona could be a statement signing if the Toon can convince him to swap sunny Spain for the North East.

Jesse Lingard's agent was at the Newcastle vs Spurs game at the weekend leading to suggestions the Manchester United man could be heading to St James' Park in the New Year.

Although Ross Barkley is another name tipped for a Toon move but the club spent big on Joe Willock so he would likely keep his place in the team.
