Chelsea transfer news: Juan Cuadrado expected to complete Juventus switch in ‘next few days’
Colombian winger has failed to impress Antonio Conte despite Blues boss saying hew will stay with the club
CHELSEA flop Juan Cuadrado is set to complete his transfer to Italian giants Juventus in the "next few days."
The midfielder's agent has been in London discussing Cuadrado's potential move to the Old Lady despite manager Antonio Conte claiming that the Colombian had a future at Stamford Bridge.
"For now he is a Chelsea player. We presented a proposal to them and are waiting for a response. But we are optimistic."
Cuadrado arrived at Stamford Bridge for a fee of £23.3million in February last year but has made just four league starts and has yet to find himself on the score sheet.
When Conte was appointed, he made it clear that Cuadrado was part of his plans moving forward but it seems the player has done little to impress the Italian boss.
He said: "I wanted him when I was Juventus coach. He will come back very soon and train and play with us.
"Now he's a Chelsea player and he'll stay with us. If something changes you'll know."
The 28-year-old was left out of the match-day squad in Chelsea's opening wins over West Ham and Watford.
