John Terry rules out England comeback.. two days after Three Lions boss Sam Allardyce hinted he could bring the Chelsea skipper out of international retirement
Defender, 35, wants to focus on his Blues career after new boss Antonio Conte showed faith by handing him new one-year deal
JOHN TERRY has no intention of playing for England again.
Three Lions boss Sam Allardyce had hinted on Monday he could bring the Chelsea skipper, 35, out of international retirement.
Allardyce names his first squad on Sunday for the World Cup qualifier in Slovakia.
While Terry remains a big England supporter, he has no desire to play for his country again after quitting four years ago.
He wants to concentrate on his Chelsea career after being given a one-year contract by new boss Antonio Conte.
Conte, though, has urged Terry and Allardyce to get together and discuss the issue.
He said: "I am a former coach of a national team and I can tell in this situation it's better if Sam Allardyce and John Terry solve it."
But Blues legend Frank Leboeuf says even giving JT a new Chelsea deal was a mistake as Conte should have binned him to make way for fresh talent.
The French World Cup-winner, who made more than 200 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit from 1996-2001, said: “Getting rid of a legend like Terry is always hard for a club.
“But it is compulsory if you want to be successful.”
