Isco wows Real Madrid team-mates with sensational back-heeled goal during training session
Spanish midfielder's future is in serious doubt with emergence of Marco Asensio but he showed worth with exquisite strike
ISCO’S Real Madrid future is far from certain due to constant stories linking him with a move away from the Bernabeu.
And the emergence of youngster, Marco Asensio has put the Spaniard’s place under even more threat.
But Isco did his chances of a Bernabeu reprieve no harm with a sensational goal in training.
The former Malaga ace nonchalantly volleyed the ball into the back of the net behind him with his heel.
Isco called for the ball and aimed it powerfully past the goalkeeper in front of cheering team-mates.
Real Madrid posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “This goal deserves an ovation!”
At the very least his price will now have shot up by a couple of million.
Arsenal have long been linked with a move for the former Spanish darling — while he is one of the names of Juventus’ list of Paul Pogba replacements.
Isco was considered as the man to lead his country’s next generation of champions after his performances during the triumphant 2013 Uefa Euro Under-21 Championships.
The then Malaga midfielder was expected to follow his former boss, Manuel Pellegrini, to Manchester City.
However, Carlo Ancelotti swooped in at the 11th hour to bring him to Real Madrid.
Isco has won the Champions League twice in the Spanish capital, but was left out of Spain’s Euro 2016 squad.
