Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen takes to Instagram to show off Shakespeare-inspired ‘date night’ at London’s Globe Theatre
Spurs' Belgian star watches famous play A Midsummer Night's Dream at the famous venue ahead of crucial Liverpool clash
JAN VERTONGHEN has been enjoying some of the best culture London has to offer this week, by going on a date to Shakespeare's Globe to take in famous play A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The Tottenham defender, 29, took to Instagram to show off a snap of the tickets on Wednesday - the Twelfth Night of the 2016-17 Premier League campaign - days before his club's key showdown with Liverpool.
Modern-day Romeo Vertonghen captioned the snap of the pair of tickets to one of William Shakespeare's most famous works: "Date Night."
Naturally, users of the social media site were quick to get involved, with one writing: "That's pretty cultured for a footballer."
Another - probably a Spurs fan - Tempest-uously quipped: "Yes Jan, going to see Midsummer Nights Dream whilst Jack Wilshere is watching dog fighting somewhere near Scarborough."
