PEP GUARDIOLA has told Joe Hart: City will help you find a new club - but if you stay I will treat you like anyone else.
The England keeper has been the highest-profile casualty of Guardiola's new reign at the Etihad, with news that he has slipped down to third in the pecking order at the club.
And with the arrival of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona, the 29-year-old's playing opportunities at the club look slim.
Guardiola said: "The club will help him find the best option. I will treat him like anyone if he stays, I will be fair."
Hart was being lined up with a move to Everton but boss Ronald Koeman was blunt when he said he had "no interest" in landing the former Shrewsbury man.
Unless Liverpool increase their interest, it is becoming likely that Hart will be third choice keeper behind Bravo and Willy Caballero this season.
Hart may have played his final game for the club last week in the 1-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest and the keeper applauded all four corners of the ground giving the impression that it could have been the last time between the sticks at the Etihad.
Ahead of City's clash against West Ham this weekend, Guardiola has revealed that new signing Bravo will not be making his debut.
