SHANE DUFFY completed his move to Brighton from Blackburn Rovers today and his dad Brian couldn't quite hold his emotions back in a post made on social media.
Duffy's dad had posted "Thank God" and "Sweet Jesus" in response to the news that his son's move to second place Brighton was now completed.
And Brian didn't forget to call out the Blackburn fans who he described as "fickle" before sacastically wishing them to "HAVE A GREAT DAY."
Duffy had been at Blackburn Rovers for two seasons and made 69 appearances for the Lancashire club.
However, he turned down a new deal at the club and it became clear that the Irish defender saw his future away from Ewood Park.
Earlier this month, Duffy suffered the embarrassment of scoring two-own goals before being sent off in a league game against Cardiff City.
This came only days after Duffy had scored an own-goal in Rovers' 3-0 loss away to newly promoted Wigan Athletic.
It would be fair to assume the Irish international probably couldn't wait to get out the door but a winning goal against Crewe in the EFL Cup would have helped repair his reputation at Ewood Park.
But Duffy is now on his way down south having signed a four-year contract with Chris Hughton's side.

Brighton will make the long trip up to St. James' Park to face Newcastle on Saturday evening and Brian can't wait to see his new favourite side in action.
He signed off his post: "Come on the seagulls. Live on sky sports tomorrow at 5.30. Bring it on".
And Sky Sports will probably also be very happy with Brian for the free advertising although son Shane is probably a bit red in the face right now.
