Bayern Munich’s US and English Twitter accounts troll Manchester City fan who called tweet ‘cringey’
Bavarian giants trounce Werder Bremen in Carlo Ancelotti's first match and Twitter account does same to City fan
BAYERN MUNICH’S official USA and English Twitter accounts found time to troll a Manchester City fan during the club’s clash with Werder Bremen.
The Bavarian giants’ US-based account posted a gif to celebrate Robert Lewandowski’s goal making it 2-0 in their Bundesliga opener.
A City fan commented claiming that they had tweeted a cringey vine.
To which, Bayern’s US account explained it was a gif and attached a vine of Jerome Boateng’s last-gasp winner against the Etihad club in a Champions League clash back in 2014 to highlight the difference between the two.
And the Bundesliga kings showed they are a team in every sense as their English account chimed in with a meme, reading: “Apply cold water to burned area”.
Fans of both went into meltdown as they traded gifs and vines of hilarious reactions to the trolling — while some City supporters reminded Bayern of Sergio Aguero’s hat-trick later on in that same campaign.
Bayern were midway through their Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen.
Goals from Xabi Alonso, Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribery and a Lewandowski hat-trick put the home side 6-0 ahead midway through the second-half.
