Chelsea transfer news: Cesc Fabregas told by Antonio Conte that he is free to leave the club
Blues chief has sent a 'clear message' to the former Barcelona midfielder that his days at Stamford Bridge are numbered
ANTONIO CONTE has brutally told midfielder Cesc Fabregas he has no future at Chelsea.
The Spaniard, 29, has been at the Blues since 2014 - but now it appears his time at the club is over.
Italian chief Conte has had a chat with Fabregas, sending a 'clear message' his days at Stamford Bridge are numbered.
It has been widely suggested all summer that the Spanish midfielder isn't Conte's cup of tea - in no small part down to his work-rate.
The Italian is a big fans of players working hard - in both attack and defence - and it's believed Conte thinks Fabregas is too lazy to fit in his system.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder was a noticeable absentee in the 3-0 win over Burnley on Saturday, with reports in Spain claiming Conte will try and force him out in the final few days of this summer's transfer window.
Chelsea's win over the Clarets was crucial, not only for the three points - but also the clean sheet.
It was the Blues' first in 13 Premier League attempts - and speaks volumes of not only a hard-working back-four, but also midfield.
