The midfielder was one-and-a-half times over the legal alcohol limit and officers told Manchester magistrates' court how they smelled alcohol on the breath of the youngster when they stopped to talk to him.

He was found to have 57 microgrammes of alcohol on his breath - the legal limit is 35mg.

The talented player pleaded guilty to drink-driving at the court, was ordered to pay a £2,625 fine, banned from driving for 12 months and had to pay an extra £255 in costs.

City scouts spotted Celina in 2012 whilst he was playing for Norwegian side Stromsgodset and added him to their youth set-up on a three-year deal.

He made his competitive debut this year as a 85th minute substitute in a 3-0 FA Cup victory over Norwich in January.

Celina will spend this season on loan at Dutch side FC Twente on a season-long loan.
