Crystal Palace transfer news: Crystal Palace are closing on a season-long loan deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy

The Frenchman failed to be a first-team regular at Chelsea and is set to reunite with former manager Alan Pardew

CRYSTAL PALACE are closing on a season-long loan deal for Chelsea’s flop Loic Remy with a £12million buy-out clause.

The French forward is yet to play for Chelsea this season, with his chances of first-team action at Stamford Bridge limited by Michy Batshuayi’s arrival over the summer.

Remy, 29, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2014 and made only nine starts in the Premier League, with the majority of his appearances having come off the bench.

He scored three goals in 20 appearances last season with his only Premier League goal against champions Leicester in a 2-1 defeat.

The other two came in the early stages of the Capital One Cup.
