Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Moussa Sissoko could join Spurs as boss Mauricio Pochettino looks for strength ahead of Champions League
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR are interested to sign Moussa Sissoko, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to boost his squad ahead of Champions League football.
Spurs have seen a £12million bid rejected by Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha this week and boss Pochettino is now looking for options elsewhere.
Sissoko, 27, wants to leave Newcastle after the club was relegated in May, and a number of European clubs enquired for a move this summer.
However, Newcastle are asking a staggering £35m for the French midfielder, which is the explanation why Sissoko is still awaiting for departure.
Sissoko impressed this summer with France during the Euro 2016, but Tottenham's chairman Daniel Levy will find it hard to spend over £20m due to the player's age.
With Marseille’s takeover now complete, George N’Koudou's transfer should soon be announced by Spurs, which could see Clinton N’Jie move the other way.
