CHELSEA have reportedly launched an unbelievable £32million bid to bring David Luiz back to Stamford Bridge, according to reports.

Paris Saint-Germain paid £50m for the Brazilian in 2014 – making him the world’s most expensive defender – and he became a key player under former boss Laurent Blanc.

But claims Luiz could now be heading back to west London after Chelsea failed with offers for AC Milan youngster Alessio Romagnoli and Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Brazil international is allegedly ‘ready’ for a return to Cobham after Chelsea initially made enquiries to land teammate Marquinhos instead.

Antonio Conte apparently reckons he can turn Luiz into a world-beater, and feels the addition of N’Golo Kante in defensive midfield would allow the centre-back to show off his famously flamboyant style of defending.

The report adds new PSG manager Unai Emery has lost confidence in Luiz, subbing him off in the recent defeat to title rivals Monaco after the 29-year-old conceded a penalty.

Luiz could potentially arrive back at Chelsea as a replacement for youngster Kurt Zouma, who is reportedly on the brink of a loan switch to Schalke.

Baba Rahman has already linked up with the Germans for the new Bundesliga season, and Conte is also close to filling the gap left by the Ghanaian’s departure.

Chelsea are locked in talks with Fiorentina over a £24m move for Marcos Alonso, although they’ve seen Inter Milan accept a £21m offer for star midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
