GARY NEVILLE has dismissed Mino Raiola's claim that Manchester United are not big enough for his client Erling Haaland.

United have been linked with the striker, 21, who is wanted by a host of top European clubs.

And Neville did not react well to Raiola's suggestion that Manchester City were a better fit for Haaland due to the club's recent Premier League success.

Raiola said: "Bayern [Munich], Real [Madrid], Barcelona, Manchester City - these are the big clubs he can go to.

"City have won the championship five times in the last few years, much more than United."

In response, : "I know we've been c*** recently, but Mino Raiola has wiped out all of United's Premier League titles in one foul swoop."

After all, United have the record for Premier League trophies with 13 compared to City's five, and the Red Devils were able to attract the likes or Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to Old Trafford last summer.

Ralf Rangnick is said to be keen on Haaland, with the Norwegian listed as one of his four key transfer targets

And despite Raiola's disparaging outlook on United, Rangnick has signed Haaland before while at RB Salzburg.

As a result, the relationship between the pair could be key to enticing the forward to Old Trafford.

And given Haaland as a release clause of £64million, United would certainly be able to afford him.

But Raiola has also hinted at a possible move to Spain, with Haaland owning a house in the country he supposedly loves a lot.
