Sergio Ramos says he will ‘fight to the death for PSG’ against his former club Real Madrid in Champions League showdown
SERGIO RAMOS says he will 'fight to the death' for Paris Saint-Germain when they play his beloved Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The 35-year-old spent 16 years at the Bernabeu but revealed he will stop at nothing to get a win against Los Blancos for his new side.
The teams were picked to play each other in Monday's shambolic day of TWO Champions League draws.
And Ramos revealed there will be no room for sentiment when the sides go head-to-head in the last 16.
He told : "Fate is capricious. I would have liked another team to have played us.
"You know the affection and love I have for Real Madrid.
"Now it's my turn to defend PSG and I'll do everything possible to pass.
"It's the team that bet on me. I'm going to fight to death for PSG."

He lifted 22 trophies while there - including four Champions Leagues.

But the Spaniard has struggled with injuries since arriving in France.
And he admitted it's been tough.
Ramos added: "It has been hard, different from what I have experienced in my career. Injuries have always respected me.
"To feel like a player again is the important thing. Many hours of darkness, loneliness, but it has helped me to overcome challenges.
"It has helped me to know who were really there and who were not."
