Tottenham transfer news: Moussa Sissoko set for £30m Spurs move after matching Everton mid in race for midfield ace
TOTTENHAM have matched Everton's £30million bid for Moussa Sissoko - who is believed to have his heart set on a move to White Hart Lane.
Newcastle accepted a club-record bid from the Toffees before Spurs then matched the offer for France international midfielder.
The Toffees have agreed to pay five instalments of £6m for the 44-cap ace, who looked nailed on for a move to Spurs earlier in the day.
Sissoko, 27, has claimed all summer that he felt his talents merited Champions League football.

And after his impressive performance in Les Bleus' Euro 2016 final defeat to Portugal, Toon owner Mike Ashley saw his chance to cash in and dug his heels in as clubs tried to pinch the midfielder on the cheap following Newcastle's relegation to the Championship.
But Ashley will be laughing all the way to the bank when he gets £30m for a player who barely looked worth a tenth of that at times last season.
Recently Sissoko said: “As I want to stay in the France team I could not stay in the Championship.
“I want to continue my career in England, at a club that plays in the Champions League because I think this best fits my style of play.”
The Toffees appear set to clinch the signing of West Ham forward Enner Valencia on a season-long loan by the close of business, having already bagged the likes of Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams in a free-spending summer for boss Ronald Koeman.
