MOUSSA SISSOKO will be the least popular footballer in the blue half of Merseyside today after snubbing a move to Everton in bizarre fashion.
The midfielder looked set to join Ronald Koeman's Toffees on transfer deadline day after the club met Newcastle's £30million asking price.
But with a private plane ready to take Sissoko to Everton, Tottenham scuppered the move by making a late offer and snatching his signature in the dying embers of the transfer window, according to the .
Not only did Sissoko fail to take Everton's private plane, the player turned his phone off ignoring Koeman's calls despite having agreed personal terms.
It soon became obvious that Sissoko was using Everton as his backup plan and had no intention of playing at Goodison Park when he heard of Spurs' interest.
