BARCELONA want to sign Edinson Cavani and Ferran Torres next month, according to reports.
The cash-strapped side have had a poor start to the season amid financial turmoil.
But the appointment of club legend Xavi has injected some optimism into supporters and Barca are looking to get on the comeback trail.

Barcelona are desperate to sign Manchester City starlet Torres, 21, who shone for Pep Guardiola's side earlier this season.
Despite showing such promise at City, the Spaniard reportedly wants to return to LaLiga and join Barcelona.
Guardiola is happy to grant his wish, provided that Barca can stump up the cash.
It's claimed that Torres has already verbally agreed a five-year deal with Xavi's side.

And it's now up to both teams to agree a fee, which could be around £43million.
Xavi believes a forward that 'opens up the pitch, is fast and a good finisher' is essential for his side.
And Torres fits the bill.
He also wants another striker, however, to provide 'malice and mischief' in the box - with Manchester United ace Cavani an experienced option.
The Uruguayan is open to the transfer, with his Old Trafford contract set to expire at the end of the season.
But he is aware that he may have to be patient, with Barca still needing to ship out more stars in order to afford him.
Ideally, Xavi would like both players signed by the time he takes his side to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.
Both legs against Real Madrid will take place between January 12 and January 16.
It provides Xavi with an early opportunity to grab his first silverware as a manager in Europe.
