EMMANUEL FRIMPONG stunned his old Arsenal team-mate Aaron Ramsey in a chance meeting at a petrol station - by putting him on video and demanding: You must win the title - I've put money on it!

Much-travelled hardman Frimpong got out his phone to snapchat the surprise reunion and described fellow midfielder Ramsey as his "little brother".

The grinning Ghanaian was keen to tell Wales star Ramsey how important it is for Arsenal to win the Premier League, in a season where big rivals Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all have big-name new bosses.

But to lift he crown the Gunners will need better luck than Frimpong, 24, who had three loan spells whilst at the Emirates before damaging his cruciate ligament and then joining Barnsley.

For the last two years he has been in Russia - first with Ufa and now at Arsenal Tula (yes, that's their real name).

Frimpong looked delighted to see his more established pal, while Ramsey himself looked bemused but amused.

Fitting, really, as that was the reaction of many Gunners' fans to the Emirates career of cult favourite Frimpong.

The ex-England Under-17 star endured turbulent times in north London, once clashing with ex-Gunner Samir Nasri in the tunnel after a League Cup tie with Manchester City.

And in his first game last season for Ufa he was sent off for an obscene gesture at a Spartak Moscow fan he claimed racially abused him. Frimpong dismissed his resulting two-game ban as a "joke".

He also trolled Arsenal keeper Wojciech Sxczesny - now on loan at Roma -  with a creepy picture on Twitter.

And when he came off the bench to make his Tula debut the back of Frimpong's shirt was emblazoned with DENCH - the brand of his own line in clothes - rather than his name.

Ramsey, meanwhile, has been busy cementing his reputation as one of the Premier League's leading scorers from mid-pitch, while also helping Wales to the Euro 2016 semi-finals in France this summer.

And now Frimpong hopes his petrol-stop meeting will persuade Ramsey to turn on the gas in the battle to end Arsenal's 12 years without a title.
