DAVID DE GEA might be one of the best goalkeepers around, but that doesn’t mean he has a good taste in music.

Fellow Spaniard Ander Herrera claims his Manchester United teammate is like a ‘grandad’ when it comes to picking the tunes.

And De Gea’s singing is so bad that Herrera actively avoids sharing a room with him on away days.

The pair are close buddies at Old Trafford, which boasts a strong Spanish-speaking contingent.

But that hasn’t stopped Herrera from laying into De Gea’s musical tastes, which apparently border on disastrous.

The goalkeeper is said to favour ‘very old music’ from Spain, and Herrera admits he no longer tolerates it when the team are forced to bunk together.

He told Unscripted via : “I couldn’t share a room with David because he’s always singing. He’s always playing horrible music.

“He likes to play very, very old music from Spain. Sometimes I tell him that he looks like my grandad.

“That’s what I try to be as far away as possible when he’s playing music. I have to say honestly that we are very good friends but I cannot share a room with him, 100 per cent.”
