Slovakia v England: Joe Hart has a horror start for Three Lions, with Twitter reacting brutally
JOE HART has had a tough summer, no two ways about it.
First of all he endured a shaky spell at this summer's European Championships in France - culminating in an embarrassing 2-1 loss at the hands of Iceland.
Then he was told by new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola that he had no future at the Etihad Stadium.
Hart enjoyed a little luck as he scored a move to Italy to link up with Serie A side Torino, assuring himself first team football for another season.
But then he celebrated with a trip to the casino, losing thousands of pounds playing roulette...
And now, in the present day he has played through a rough half an hour of football against Slovakia in Sam Allardyce's first game in charge - a World Cup qualifier, no less.
With one of his first touches of the ball, Hart managed to scuff a clearance straight to an opposition attacker.
Fortunately for the Three Lions nothing came of it, but with the spotlight fully on the ex-Shrewsbury stopper, 29, it was a blunder he could ill-afford.
Naturally, the 'comedians' of Twitter cracked their fingers and fired up their keyboards... Here are some of the best tweets.
Spoiler alert, there's a theme of 'Pep: I told you so'...
