And soon it could be referred to as the Nou Camp Spotify as the streaming giants close in on a huge £67million-a-year deal.

VeganNation and Polkadot are two other companies keen to strike a deal with Barcelona.

But believe Spotify are leading the way and could soon own the title rights for the club's stadium.

However, the deal to rename the 99,000-seater would not be a long-term one - meaning it would likely return to being branded the Nou Camp after a short period.

In more long-term investments, Spotify are keen to replace Japanese organisation Rakuten on the front of the first team shirt.

And they are also hoping to make it a clean sweep of sponsorship deals by securing the back of the training jersey - currently occupied by Beko.

Barcelona are currently in a huge financial hole - a critical situation which was typified by the selling of legend Lionel Messi last summer.

However, the LaLiga side have still managed to find the funds to buy players in the summer window.

They secured the signature of Spanish forward Ferran Torres from Manchester City for £55m.

And they also look set to complete a deal for Wolves winger Adama Traore within the next 24 hours.

The signings come after club president Joan Laporta announced at the start of the January transfer window that "Barcelona are back".

When asked about the possibility of acquiring Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, he said: “We’re working to build a top team. Everything is possible if we do things well and I’m sure we will.

"Top players are open to joining Barca. We’re definitely recovering our status.

"Everybody in the world should get ready, as we are back as big players in the market.”
