Cristiano Ronaldo strips down to his pants for ‘recovery’ in cryotherapy chamber after gruelling Dubai training session

CRISTIANO RONALDO ended a gruelling training session in Dubai by stripping down to his pants for ‘recovery’ in a cryotherapy room.

Manchester United star Ronnie, who turns 37 on Saturday, posted a video to social media showing him entering the freezing chamber in just his underwear after a tough day of exercise.

Ronaldo spent his Premier League winter break in Dubai with his family.

But while he was in the Middle East, Ronaldo kept his fitness up at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.

And taking advantage of the world-class facilities on offer, Ronaldo couldn’t resist a dip in some liquid nitrogen.

Flashing a thumbs-up to the camera, Ronaldo donned a facemask, gloves, headband and slippers - as well as his pants - as he entered the icy room.

The video ended with Ronaldo waving goodbye and closing the door before being engulfed by ice-cold mist.

And the Portuguese ace simply caption the clip: “Recovery.”

SunSport exclusively revealed in October that Ronaldo spent thousands having his own personal £50,000 cryotherapy chamber transported to his rented mansion from Italy.

It can apply temperatures as low as -200C to help treat and rehabilitate human tissue.

Users can spent a maximum of five minutes in the chamber, as any longer could pose a serious risk to health.

But advocates of the treatment believe it boosts blood circulation and improves the immune system.

It is also thought to decrease fatigue and help injuries mend quicker.
