The Brazil ace took to to reveal it was indeed his birthday, posting a picture showing himself surrounded by countless balloons in his home.

But it appears the decorations were set up by someone close to Oscar, with the playmaker writing: “Even from afar she makes me wonder. Thank you my love for the surprise, love you very much #25years #HappyBirthdayToMe.”

But despite the solitude, Oscar is hoping it will be a year to remember after regaining some much-needed confidence under new boss Antonio Conte.

The midfielder has started all of Chelsea’s Premier League games this season, helping them win all three.

The Blues travel to Swansea on Sunday looking to keep their fine form going, and Oscar is confident the club can challenge for a domestic treble after putting last season’s woes behind them.

He said: “He (Conte) is giving me a lot of confidence and I’m doing very well. Hopefully I can continue to do so.

“Last season wasn’t great, not only individually but as a team. Hopefully this season we will win trophies and get back to a winning mentality.”
