RYAN MASON broke Hull City's transfer record when he joined from Tottenham in the final stages of the summer transfer window.

The Tigers paid £13million to take Mason to the KCOM Stadium after turning down Sunderland - having finally realised Mauricio Pochettino was not going to give him a starting berth.

He came on off the bench yesterday for his debut in the 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor - as did fellow new signing from Manchester United, striker Will Keane.

Robert Snodgrass continued his and Mike Phelan's fine start to the season with a wonderful last minute free kick to maintain their position in the top half of the Premier League table.

Over the weekend, both new boys had to perform their initiation songs in front of teammates, including Mason's ex-Spurs teammates Tom Huddlestone, Jake Livermore and Michael Dawson.

Hull captain Curtis Davies recorded the efforts - in which Keane performed a lot better than Mason - and posed them on his Instagram page.

Mason went first and awkwardly opened up with a talent-show style "I’m Ryan from London," before launching into a tuneless and monotone rendition of the Old Fools and Horses theme tune.

Forward Keane, who joined for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal from Manchester United where he came through their youth ranks, fared slightly better with a slightly more in-tune version of Marvin Gaye's Ain't No Mountain High Enough - but the high notes were still woefully bad.

Stick to the day jobs, lads...
