Jack Wilshere says Bournemouth loan move is to prove fitness to Arsenal and that he is not a crock
JACK WILSHERE says his loan move from Arsenal to Bournemouth is about proving he can stay free of injuries.
Wilshere played just three games for the Gunners last season after fracturing his leg - the latest in a career plagued by spells on the sidelines.
"Hopefully I can play as many games as possible, prove everyone wrong and then reignite my career."
Despite rumours of a rift with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, he said Wilshere does not need to prove his quality as a players.
He also said he considers him "world class" and wants the midfielder to spend his entire career at the Emirates.
Wilshere has started just 80 Premier League games for Arsenal in eight years, but has made two sub appearances for the Gunners this season before joining the Cherries.
He has also fallen out of favour for his country, having been favoured by Roy Hogdson and has 34 international to his name, featuring six times for England during the summer - including three games at the disastrous Euro 2016.
But new England boss Sam Allardyce overlooked Wilshere this month and played no part in the 1-0 win over Slovakia in their World Cup qualifier.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says Wilshere's workload is being managed to avoid any more injuries and maintains he has signed a player who remains "the very best in his position".
The midfield ace added: "I was happy to come on and was sitting on the bench watching and getting used to the way they play.
"It's similar to the way we played at Arsenal. They like to keep the ball and I can fit into this team, I think."
