AARON RAMSEY enjoyed a trip with his family to Gleneagles as he continues his recovery from injury.

Rangers are in action against Borussia Dortmund this evening as they aim to advance to the Last 16 of the Europa League.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men will attempt to finish the job after picking up a stunning 4-2 victory in Germany last week.

However, Ramsey won't play any part in the game as he recovers from a knock that kept him out of the 1-1 draw with Dundee United.

Yesterday, the Welsh international spent time with his wife Colleen and their children as they enjoyed a trip to Gleneagles.

And the family spent the night at the luxury hotel as they woke up to its snow-covered grounds this morning.

In one image shared on Instagram by Colleen, Ramsey could be seen standing with a bird of prey on his arm while his children watched on.

Another picture showed Colleen with her kids standing in front of a pond in the grounds of the hotel.

And the couple also posted their own images of the snowy landscape at Gleneagles this morning.

The family's trip comes a week after Ramsey treated Colleen to a romantic lunch in Cardiff when he booked out an entire restaurant.

Meanwhile, Van Bronckhorst is determined to avoid a repeat of Rangers' agonising defeat to Borussia Dortmund in 1999.

The Dutchman was part of the Light Blues side that lost out on penalties that night.

But he reckons if his players take the same approach to tonight's game as they did last week, they could achieve a famous result.

Van Bronckhorst said: “We played really well at home and had a difficult game away in Dortmund.

“Like now, they were a top side of the moment.

“We conceded the second goal late into the game, just before the game ended and then we lost on penalties.

“Now we need to do it the other way around.

“We won the away game with a two-goal difference and we know we can be very strong at home.

“But if we have the same intentions and determination as we had last week, we can have a good performance and a great result.”
