Southampton hoping to keep hold of ex Chelsea defender Tino Livramento for another season as top clubs consider transfer
SOUTHAMPTON are hoping to keep hold of Tino Livramento for at least another season.
Full-back Livramento, 19, has been a revelation at Saints since joining from Chelsea's academy last summer for around £5million.
A host of bigger clubs have been following his progress, with Livramento already racking up 20 Premier League appearances this term.
One report recently suggested Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick is ready to move for the whizkid at the end of the season, though SunSport understands that is premature.
Chelsea have a buy-back clause, believed to be £38m, which activates in the summer of 2023.
Saints realise that they are unlikely to keep hold of Livramento in the long term, such has been his rapid progress and his sky-high potential.
But they believe he is best-placed getting regular game-time under Ralph Hasenhuttl for another campaign - and are confident the England Under-21 star feels the same way.
Southampton are also keen to hold onto Armando Broja who also joined from Chelsea last summer, albeit on loan.

The striker could be subject to a £25m bid from Saints after scoring eight goals for the club this season.
Arsenal are reportedly keen on the Albanian too with Broja said to be open to all options due to Chelsea being unable to guarantee him playing time.
The Gunners are in the market for a striker after missing out on Dusan Vlahovic in January.
