MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly favourites to sign Tottenham star Harry Kane this summer.

That’s because former suitors Man City have made Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland their No1 target.

claims Pep Guardiola is no longer in the running for Kane, 28, after having FOUR bids rejected by Spurs last year.

It’s reckoned Daniel Levy wants at least £160million for his goal-getting striker.

And Guardiola will instead look to beat Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain to Haaland, who has an active £64m release clause from July.

It means Man United are now leading the race for Kane, with soon-to-be consultant Ralf Rangnick informing the club they need a new attacker.

Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Old Trafford just one year into his comeback after a mixed campaign.

Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani will depart on a free transfer when his contract expires.

And Kane is seen as the ideal man to lead United’s line next term.

One thing that could tempt Kane to the Theatre of Dreams is United’s interest in ex-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine is tipped to leave PSG this summer and would jump at the chance to return to the Premier League.

Kane is open to playing under Pochettino once more, and United could be set to splash out on the England skipper as they ready a transfer war chest.

Bild adds that should United miss out on Kane, they could instead move for Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez.

He remains a chief target for rivals Liverpool, despite their capture of Luis Diaz in January.

And Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the Serie A-winning forward.
