David, 22, scored the second goal in the 4-0 drubbing of Clermont on Sunday.

After a gorgeous flick from Sanches on the edge of the box, David slid the ball into the back of the net.

The pair then celebrated by shaking hands and bowing their heads, in a mirror image of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal.

It was the 17th goal of the season for the Canadian in all competitions.

The hotshot striker is supposedly eager to move on when the season ends despite being contracted to Lille until 2025.

According to , David is on the radar of Mikel Arteta and his backroom staff.

Team-mate Sanches confirmed that the Gunners were 'interested' in him during the January transfer window.

The 24-year old has worked hard to rebuild his career since a loan spell at Swansea.

The midfielder still has 18 months left on his contract but does not want to sign an extension.

He moved to Lille in 2019 and helped the side become Ligue 1 champions last campaign.

The French side value him somewhere between £15million and £17m.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also said to be chasing West Brom's Reyes Cleary.

The 17-year-old striker would bolster their attack and is yet to sign a professional deal at The Hawthorns.
