Jack Wilshere set to be handed his first Bournemouth start by Eddie Howe when they face Manchester City
On-loan Arsenal midfielder set to make his full debut for the Cherries at the Etihad
JACK WILSHERE is set to make his first Bournemouth start against Manchester City on Saturday.
As we exclusively revealed this week, the on-loan Arsenal midfielder was forced to undergo a precautionary scan on his left ankle on Monday.
Wilshere, who came off the bench on 63 minutes for his debut during last week’s 1-0 win over West Brom, was able to train with his team-mates on Tuesday despite the knock.
And after feeling no ill effects, SunSport understands the 24-year-old is set to be thrown into the mix from the start against Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was determined not to take any risks with the star.

He told reporters this week: "With the outstanding quality he has, there’s no doubt about that. We’d like to see him in the team as quickly as possible.
"It’s a delicate balance between rushing him into the team and the long term. We have to think of that.
"We want him to play a lot of games for us so we’ll put him in when we think it’s right."
And after his impressive cameo against the Baggies, it seems that Saturday afternoon has been deemed the right moment for the Cherries boss to unleash his potential ace up the sleeve against the Premier League leaders.
