JORDAN HENDERSON had social media in a spin after his stunning strike for Liverpool against Chelsea.

The former Sunderland midfielder produced a stunning curling effort over Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, and Reds legend Steven Gerrard was one of the first to pay tribute.

Gerrard posted an image on Instagram of him watching the game in the United States.

It was only Henderson's 20th Premier League goal for the club since his arrival in 2011, but he will not have scored any better.

And it was not only Kop boss Jurgen Klopp who was left dumbfounded and delirious by the strike.

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness, who has played and managed Liverpool, said: "This is a great finish.
