Koeman has tried and failed to bring in several targets, headed by Joe Hart.

Forster, 28, is settled at St Mary’s but could be attracted if the Toffees look serious contenders to make the Champions League.

Koeman has already taken one keeper from Saints, bringing in Dutchman Maarten Stekelenburg this summer.

His interest has cooled on Hart but he also looked at Portugal’s Rui Patricio and Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno.

Everton would also then sell Spaniard Joel Robles.

Fuchs off if no pay hike

CHRISTIAN FUCHS’ future at Leicester is in doubt as he was offered only a small rise for a new deal.

The Austrian left-back is a cult figure with Foxes. He joined on a free, but could leave if the terms are not improved.

Fuchs, 30, has watched as team-mates picked up massive pay hikes.

His contract ends next season and word is out that he would be open to a Premier League move, maybe as early as January.

Coyle's £2m Judge boost

HARD-UP Blackburn hope Newcastle do a deal for Brentford’s Alan Judge to hand them a £2million bonus.

Owen Coyle spent just £250,000 out of the £10m owners Venky’s raked in from summer sales.

But Rovers could get a windfall from a sell-on clause in Judge’s move to Brentford two years ago.

The Irish midfielder, 27, was sold for around £300,000 — yet Toon want him for £10m when he is fully fit again and Rovers are due 20 per cent of that profit.

Judge is due to move to Toon in January once he fully recovers from a broken leg.

The Spanish right-back was so poor against Everton last week that boss David Moyes is worried about picking him again.

Manquillo is on loan from Atletico Madrid, who previously lent him to Liverpool.

Tom Wright for Cellino

LEEDS UNITED owner Massimo Cellino wants to bring Barnsley No2 Tommy Wright to Elland Road.

The Scot could be tempted by a move to the club where he played as a kid.

And Cellino may make a move whether boss Garry Monk likes it or not, adding to strife behind the scenes.

Italian interest

BARNSLEY’S success has put them on the target list of an Italian investment group.

Tykes have cash, top facilities and a shoestring squad that is tearing up the Championship. Owner

Patrick Cryne looked to sell before but he may be hard to shift.

Baggies at Peace

JEREMY PEACE could stay at West Brom as an adviser all season after the Chinese takeover.

The move will add more confusion to the club, where boss Tony Pulis is angry at transfer dealings and new chairman John Williams is caught between two camps.
