Liverpool on verge of sealing transfer swoop for Celtic star Ben Doak as details of fee emerge
BEN DOAK is on the verge of finalising his move to Liverpool.
SunSport understands the Celtic winger is close to agreeing terms on a long-term deal at Anfield.
Doak, 16, is now set to join the Reds - who will pay the Hoops a six-figure compensation fee to land him.
The Scotland Under-17 star has started following Liverpool first-team and academy accounts on social media.
And a move to the Premier League giants is imminent after Doak opted to pursue a career in England.
Celtic were keen to keep him - with Ange Postecoglou handing the teen sensation a debut against Dundee United this season.

Doak then came on as a sub against Rangers in the 3-0 Old Firm win in February.
But the lure of Liverpool has been too strong for the explosive wideman and he is set to leave Celtic.
Doak hasn’t featured in the first-team squad since being an unused sub in the 4-0 win over Raith Rovers in mid-February.
And Celtic are now resigned to losing the winger, who scored a hat-trick for Scotland under-17s against Georgia this week.

Asked about Doak’s situation recently, Postecoglou hinted that the teenager had decided to move on.
He said: "I’ve said all along that for me, this football club is everything that a young player should want.
"Particularly at the moment. I really want to bring young players into our first-team and give them an opportunity as we have already.
“But they’ve got to be invested in our football club. They’ve got to want to be here and they’ve got to want to be here long-term.
"If they see their futures elsewhere or they’re not certain then I have total respect for that.
"Everyone has the right to make their own decisions.
"But I’m going to invest time and opportunity into the people who want to stay at our football club.”
