MANCHESTER UNITED flop Phil Jones is set to be dumped by boss Jose Mourinho in January.
The England defender is out injured with a knee ligament problem and United are looking to get him off their books.
He is on £110,000-a-week at Old Trafford and would cost around £10m, which Mourinho wants to reinvest into his defence.
And the 24-year-old's situation is being monitored by both Arsenal and Liverpool who are ready to swoop.
A United insider revealed: "Jose is looking to offload Jones. They have reached the end of the line with him.

"Arsenal have asked about him in the past along with Chris Smalling, and they are keeping an eye on his situation.
"He cannot stay fit and that is why United tried to sign Jose Fonte from Southampton in the summer."
Jones faces another three weeks on the sidelines before he is even ready to return to training.
He has not played for the first team since January and suffered a blood clot in his calf last summer.
Centre-back Jones joined United from Blackburn for £16.5m in the summer of 2011.
He has made 104 appearances for the Red Devils and scored two goals in five seasons.
