Yaya Toure set for his first Manchester City start under Pep Guardiola as Leroy Sane and Vincent Kompany also prepare for EFL Cup roles against Swansea
Outcast Ivorian is back in training after migraine problems and set for chance to impress in central midfield
YAYA TOURE is set to be handed his first competitive start under Pep Guardiola in the League Cup on Wednesday night.
And Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could also return from injury against Swansea after groin and thigh surgery in the summer.
Guardiola will also give £42m wonderkid Leroy Sane his first real chance to impress, as he rings the changes from Saturday's 4-0 win over Bournemouth.
Toure, 33, has been out-of-favour since the former Bayern chief arrived in the summer.
But after missing training last week with migraine problems, it is thought he will be thrown into a central midfield role from the start at the Liberty Stadium.
Kompany started full training last week and is a boost for City who remain unbeaten this season.
A City source said: "Yaya has been impressing in training and needs some game time.
