Manchester City reveal garish away strip they will debut at Swansea in the EFL Cup this week
Bright orange and purple number will be used in all cup matches this season as City go bold with their third kit
MANCHESTER CITY have revealed their new third kit for this season - bright orange and purple.
City have gone for a bold look they will be wearing in their cup matches away from the Etihad Stadium.
And Pep Guardiola's players will have no worries spotting each other on the pitch with a colour scheme certain to make them stand out.
New signing Leroy Sane has been used to head up the launch campaign that kicked into gear on social media this morning.
Designers have obviously taken inspiration from the Dutch national team by using the same orange the nation is famous for.
But they have interlaced it with the kind of purple reserved for Italian club Fiorentina to produce a shirt that may look good on professional footballers but might not be so impressive on middle aged supporters.

The club claim the vibrancy on offer 'reflects the club's and the city of Manchester's creativity'.
It will be worn for the first time on Wednesday when Guardiola takes his side to the Liberty Stadium for the EFL Cup clash with Swansea.
It is not the first time the club has worn violet - the colour first appeared on the 1992 away shirt and has also featured in two more strips since then.
