Chelsea transfer news: Real Madrid warned off Thibaut Courtois after sending bizarre fax message to goalie
La Liga giants sent get-well message to Belgian when he was injured last season but Blues have no intention of selling him
CHELSEA have said fax but no fax to Real Madrid’s bizarre pursuit of Thibaut Courtois.
The highly-rated keeper revealed he received a surprise get-well card from the Spanish giants while injured last season.
Courtois, 24, said: “When I got injured they sent me a fax wishing me a speedy recovery.”
The former Atletico Madrid star also says he fancies a return to Spain one day and will evaluate the situation going into the final year of his deal.
But Chelsea dismissed the threat from the European champs and insist the Belgian No 1 is not for sale.
A Blues insider said: “What on earth are they doing sending get-well messages to our players on fax machines?

“Don’t they know this is the age of the smart phone? A fax sounds terribly old-fashioned — maybe the Madrid carrier pigeon is injured.”
Courtois says he still watches Spanish TV and even takes a siesta.
He added: “I have a contract at Chelsea for three seasons.
“In 2018, when I enter the final year of the contract, we will assess whether to renew or leave. I feel half Spanish. When I said goodbye I cried.”
