In fact, their poor record against the Blues stems all the way back to Roman Abramovich's arrival in west London.

In the 26 league matches the two clubs have played since the Russian's arrival in June 2003, Chelsea have won 13 of those games - exactly half.

Arsene Wenger - who celebrated TWO DECADES in charge of Arsenal - has won just six of those 26 games and there have been seven draws.

Diego Costa of Chelsea grapples with Gabriel Paulista of Arsenal and Laurent Koscielny of Arsenal eventually leading to a sending off for Gabriel Paulista during the Barclays Premier League match between Chelsea and Arsenal played at Stamford Bridge,

That's without mentioning that the Blues have won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League in that time.

Arsenal have one title - Abramovich's first season - and two FA Cups in the same period.

There have been other embarrassments for Wenger at the hands of Chelsea.

He 'celebrated' his 1,000th game in charge of Arsenal with a memorable 6-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues had three goals inside 20 minutes as Arsenal imploded on Wenger's anniversary.

Samuel Eto'o and Andre Schurrle scored within seven minutes before Kieran Gibbs was sent off - mistakenly after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had handled on the line.

Oscar scored two and even Mohamed Salah got in on the act - just one of two goals in Blue.

Even last season, Chelsea's worst of the Abramovich era, the Blues were able to pick up six points against their rivals.

Arsenal were furious with Diego Costa after he clashed with Laurent Koscielny, leading to the French defender's sending off in September last year.

At the Emirates in January the Gunners also had another man sent off - this time it was Per Mertesacker for needlessly diving in on Costa.

There was, of course, the 2-0 Chelsea win in 2014 when Wenger and Mourinho got into a shoving match on the touchline.

At least their one win in the last give years was a memorable one, the 5-3 thrashing of Andre Villas-Boas' team in October 2011.

That game saw the Portuguese's high defensive line ruthlessly exploited by an impressive Arsenal team.

Chelsea had been leading at half-time but Robin van Persie scored a hat-trick - John Terry slipping over after a terrible pass from Florent Malouda - in Petr Cech's worst game for the Blues.

There was the Community Shield win last August as well.

A meaningless game but a sign of things to in what would turn out to be the worst four months of Jose Mourinho's professional career.

Antonio Conte makes his first trip to the Emirates on Saturday.

He'll be hoping to continue Chelsea's fine record against Arsenal.
