Radamel Falcao remains in hospital after sickening coming together with keeper whilst playing against Mario Balotelli’s Nice
Former Chelsea and Manchester United forward left with concussion after crunching collision with Yoan Cardinale
RADAMEL FALCAO was hospitalised after a sickening collision with Nice keeper Yoan Cardinale - leaving his manager fuming.
The Colombian striker, 30, led the line for Monaco as they fell to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of a Mario Balotelli inspired Nice side, which saw them go top of the Ligue 1 table.
But he was forced from the game at half time after clashing with Cardinale during an evenly contested first-half.
And Leonardo Jardim was fuming after the game as it was revealed that the striker had to undergo an MRI scan as a precaution.
Jardim said: "Falcao is still in hospital after suffering a concussion on Wednesday.
"The referees have to pay closer attention and punish actions like this. It should have been a red card in my opinion.
"When a player takes such a risk [to injure an opponent], there has to be some sort of punishment."
After a period of injuries and poor form during his time over in England, Falcao looks to be finding the form of old which saw Monaco pay £50m for his services in 2013.
His two loan spells at Manchester United and Chelsea were particularly torrid - but this term he is off the mark for Monaco as they romped to victory in their first three games.
