THE mother of young West Ham defender Reece Oxford was allegedly relegated to the stands to sit next to the away supporters at Wednesday’s EFL Cup match against Accrington Stanley.

Youmna and her family were unimpressed that their two complimentary tickets did not permit them to watch the match in the comfort of London Stadium's vast hospitality suites for the player's family and friends.

After complaining Youmna was directed to the disabled supporters area before eventually being allowed to enter the hospitality suite.

The 17-year-old has just 18 months left on his current contract and Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is eager for the youngster's long-term future to be secured despite limited first team action so far this season.

Unsurprisingly, Oxford, who is tipped to have a bright future for club and country, has caught the eye of both Manchester City and Manchester United.

West Ham reportedly issued a desperate plea to keep Oxford butd earlier this week.

Manchester United continue to lead the race to land the highly-sought after teenager for nothing but a tribunal fee.
