Xherdan Shaqiri is likely to return for Stoke after missing six matches with a calf injury, while Jonathan Walters is a doubt due to the ankle injury that ruled him out of the midweek defeat at Hull.

Mark Hughes: "Unfortunately at the moment we are a little bit fair game for some who feel they can get easy headlines.

"It is all very predictable - player unrest, problems in the dressing room. They all come up in these situations. It's totally untrue."

 Tony Pulis: "They have a very strong squad there and it's a surprise that they are down at the bottom.

"I'm sure they will get out of it - I just hope that it's not on Saturday that they start."
