Renato Sanches sent off after picking up two yellows in just FIVE SECONDS both for dissent in Lille loss at Troyes

RENATO SANCHES was sent off after picking up two yellows just FIVE seconds apart after arguing with the referee.

The Lille star appeared to be booked twice for dissent in the club's defeat away at Troyes.

The frustrated midfielder gesticulated wildly at the referee after committing a foul, as .

The ref, Willy Delajod, did not take kindly to his gestures and booked Sanches.

When he continued to demonstrate his fury with the referee, Delajod produced a second yellow almost immediately.

Delajod appeared to make reference to Sanches' binocular gesture as the reason for the quick-fire second yellow.

With Lille already 1-0 down at the time of the dismissal, things went from bad to worse for the mid-table French side.

Trailing from a Troyes penalty, they would go on to concede from two more spot-kicks.

Lille would also be reduced to nine men after striker Burak Yilmaz was sent off for a wild lunge from behind.

Sanches' sending off is not the first controversial moment of his season.

In January, he was seen giving Marseille fans the middle finger after being subbed off during a 1-1 draw.

Sanches remains hot property in European football, with several clubs linked with a move for the former Swansea loanee.

Speculation continues that Arsenal may look to go for the 24-year-old this summer.

But they face stiff competition from Italian giants AC Milan, with reports suggesting that a deal may already be signed off.

Juventus could also be in the market for the Portuguese international.
