EDEN HAZARD and N'Golo Kante have admitted Arsenal destroyed Chelsea - as the midfielders gave the most brutal assessment so far of a performance under new boss Antonio Conte.

The Gunners' parade of style and pace at the Emirates contrasted with the Blues' pedestrian movement and passing.

And Arsenal's 3-0 win leaves them third, while eigth-placed Chelsea are already eight points off leaders Manchester City.

Belgium wideman Hazard told :  “There is no excuse.. They (Arsenal) ate us.”

And his Blues' team-mate Kante, a £32million summer recruit after winning the title with Leicester last term, was equally frank on the same French TV channel.

The France anchorman said: “Arsenal rolled over us. The first goal, the second, the third… Then it was easy for them.”

Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott rewarded the Gunners' extra speed of thought and feet with electric goals inside the first 14 minutes.

And Mesut Ozil peaked his own dazzling display with the home side's third on the counter-attack in the 40th minute.

In contrast, Hazard and ex-Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas were woefully subdued, both being hauled off along with Willian in the second half.

And perhaps the only two things Chelsea got right all the weekends were the post-match confessions of Hazard and Kante, the two men tipped by some as the key to Conte's rebuilding job.
